Resep: How To Make Cake Pops (4 Different Flavors)
It's getting closer to Valentine's Day, in case you want to make DIY (do it yourself) thing for your love ones, how about Cake Pops? It's very easy yet they look adorable. You'll need very few ingredients, cake, chocolate, and your favorite ingredients to be combined with.
First, cake as the base, store bought is just fine or you can use cake mix, or make your own from scratch. It's also possible to use banana bread, please check out my Banana Bread recipe. The amount of the wet ingredients may vary, depends on how moist is your cake. The easiest way is to combine little by little until it holds together. Some ingredients may contain too much sugar, alternatively, you can use milk.
- crumble the cake
- add in your desired ingredients (fruit jam / cream cheese / chocolate spread) for extra texture and flavor, go for toasted nuts, chocolate chips, or even cereals
- form into balls, pin with chocolate sticks
- store in the freezer for an hour
- dip in melted chocolate (you can use microwave, stir every 15 secs)
- decorate with shaved chocolate, dried coconut, cookie crumbs, or sprinkles
- chocolates absorb odors very quick, if you want to keep it in fridge, wrap in a plastic or store in air right container
I made 4 different flavors, the matcha one was nice because it's not overly sweet but honestly the one with peanut butter is really good, sweet and slightly salty, delightful! Anyway I used mini chocolate chips and chunky peanut butter for texture.
- Vanilla Cake + Peanut Butter + Chocolate Chips
- Matcha Cake + Cream Cheese (I like this one because it's less sweet, but feel free to add powdered sugar if you want it sweeter)
- Vanilla Cake + Nutella + Rice Krispies
- Blue Vanilla Cake + Blueberry Jam + Dried Coconut
