I came up with this idea because I personally a big fan of matcha and coconut in the same time. First I though that it'd be just my personal liking, but it turned out really good. I asked some to taste, and they said they love it because of the combination of bitter sweet and savory from the coconut, so I assume, it's definitely worth to try. One thing to remember, get a good quality of matcha powder. From Singapore to Jakarta, Scoopz is just opened in Pantai Indah Kapuk . It's  Koule, a place for you, if you're looking for exotic ice cream flavor. First, let me start with  Lava Cake (IDR 65.000) served with a scoop of ice cream of your choice. Warm bitter sweet chocolate cake, gooey in the center, combined with delicate cempedak ice cream, a reason for me to smile haha.. not joking, but I can't hide when I'm having something special that makes me happy. It was not the best lava cake but that cempedak ice cream!!  Not too sweet, solid texture, real fruit taste on every bite. If you have no idea, cempedak taste like a mix between jackfruit and durian .  It was not my first Korean organic milk soft ice cream experience, as you know South Korea is one of my favorite travel destination. In Seoul, it was a huge thing but until my last visit (this summer) I found that the hype was not as great as earlier. Anyway, the same thing here in Jakarta, we already got WooYoo at Pantai Indah Kapuk and Honey Creme at Pondok Indah Mall so what is Milkcow ? I knew they several outlets in Seoul, I saw one in Samcheongdong area. To describe, their ice cream is creamy and very milky yet sweet enough that only allows me to have just one. It was the case for the original with honey comb. Though they have many toppings from caramel popcorn to ferrero rocher, I must say, go for the affogato . It's a great thing that they use local coffee beans, the most important thing that it goes well with the soft ice cream. How do you like ice cream? If you're following me on my Instagram , you may notice that I am really into ice cream. It became a habit that since years ago, I always look for ice cream places when traveling. My Singaporean friends told me about this ice cream parlor also some other names but I find Tom's Palette quite interesting. Why? Because they have unique flavors, such as salted egg yolk , yuzu , and red wine sorbet . Honestly, I was very excited to try their salted egg yolk flavor, it may sounds weird but in fact really it's not that bad.  Ordered Waffle with two scoops of ice cream ( salted egg yolk and white chocolate nori ), yes went for adventurous palate, it costed us SGD 12.40. Surprisingly I love the white chocolate nori , so good! But the white chocolate was too sweet to my liking. It was eating french fries with ice cream, savory and sweet at the same time. NO! It's hard for me when it comes to compare things that I had earlier especially in foreign country with ones in Indonesia. If you're following me on Instagram you may notice that I have a huge crush on gelato , and so ice cream and soft serve. Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream. But it is different, a very simple proof, it is taken not with round ice cream scooper but sort of paddle. I'm talking about the American style ice cream that is rich and creamy while gelato is more likely light, soft with elastic texture. It's the taste, texture, also the main ingredient. Gelato is generally made from milk or sometimes with small amount of cream.  There are not many places I know here in Jakarta that serve gelato. Another dessert place in north Jakarta, close to Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), it's Touketsu . There are four flavors to choose, original vanilla, matcha, whiscream, and mint. Firstly, I'm not really into mint flavor so it's definitely the last to choose. How's else, let's find out! Choco Coco is actually chocolate soft ice cream that served in a coconut shell, but there was no chocolate so I asked for matcha. Honestly, I'd rather have original vanilla. You know when it comes to matcha (my favorite), I can be very sensitive. Anyway, the rest was quite delightful, chilled chocolate pudding on the bottom, crushed oreo, crisp waffle. Twin Tower has more attractive appearance, two ice cream of your choice, pudding, crushed peanuts, fruity peebles, it is possible to order twist so you can get four flavor in total.  You could never go wrong with caramel popcorn, even better with vanilla ice cream. Kedai Ling Ling Sukajadi Bandung: Home For Asian Dessert! Lived in this city for around 5 years, the place that filled with creative people from music to culinary. It's a never ending innovation  Kedai Ling Ling is famous for its cheap affordable Japanese food such as ramen and takoyaki (octopus balls). Throw away that thoughts from "real ramen " I'm talking about customized ramen that probably more acceptable for locals. In fact, their takoyaki was quite nice, best I can find in Bandung.  Earlier, I did a short food trip, finally coming back to Bandung. Kedai Ling Ling is located at Sukajadi, 10 minutes away from Hilton , very close to Paris Van Java Mall. The place is so huge, to be compared with their Cihampelas and Trunojoyo outlet, more seating, less crowded.  When I saw on the menu, OK now they have a lot more to offer especially desserts. Sweet Belly and DonWoori Suki Bandung: Cute Desserts and Casual Korean Food Both are located in the same building, Sweet Belly is part of DonWoori Suki . Take place at the shady Jalan Lombok, close to Gudeg Banda. How I miss this city with its small road, less traffic than Jakarta. As the last time, stayed at Hilton Bandung  that is just right if you're into exploring culinary around Chinatown. This area is different, just a short turn from Riau street, honestly, got no idea about this place, but by the time I stepped in, yes so pretty, particularly outdoor seating area. Another cute spot, serving casual Korean food and suki , with a dessert cafe on terrace, interesting. Chicken Kimbab - typical Korean rice rolls, consists of chicken, spinach, carrot, and pickled radish. Accompanied by soy sauce. Portion was extremely generous, got twelve pieces of kimbab.
