Ojju - K-Food Kota Kasablanka (Kokas) Jakarta: Korean BBQ Ribs with Mozzarella Cheese

Finally it's here the Korean BBQ Ribs, remember my previous post about eating in Seoul ?  Also you probably remember the James Back Ribs, spicy pork ribs coated with stringy mozzarella cheese, yassss the good news now we have it here in Jakarta, similar, no pork because it's beef. Ojju K-Food a newly opened restaurant in Mall Kota Kasablanka, south Jakarta. Free banchan (side dish) was quite nice, consist of cream corn, kimchi, and pasta salad, but unfortunately it's not refillable (unlike at most of Korean restaurant), you can order additional banchan instead.

Rolling Cheese Beef Ribs IDR 219.000 yes it's a no pork restaurant so you'll get 4 pieces of beef ribs (instead of pork ribs) served with potato wedges, melted mozzarella cheese, sweet corn, and pickled jalapeno, just like what I had while in Seoul. They offer 3 level of spiciness, personally I love the ribs seasoning, tangy gochujang, a bit smoky, definitely a finger licking good one. The other option, if you're not into beef ribs, Rolling Cheese Chicken Wings IDR 99.000 sounds good and very affordable to be compared with the beef one.

say cheese!!
They also have jjigae (stew) served in large pot, you can choose the filling, from seafood to veggies. Various side dishes from pajeon to salad, we decided to order Gyeranjim IDR 22.000 fluffy steamed egg, soft and comforting, best company for the spicy ribs.

Gyeranjim IDR 22.000
Finish the meal with fried rice, the leftover sauce and mozzarella cheese, do not throw it away, add some rice, kimchi, gim (seaweed), and egg, best part of the meal. We got fried rice (IDR 29.000) with additional ebiko (shrimp roe) IDR 19.000. Fried rice was quite tasty yet I expect more gim for extra savory flavor. If you're a cheesy person, well I mean if you're really into cheese then you probably will enjoy the ribs and fried rice.

get the fried rice with additional IDR 29.000

Corn Tea IDR 22.000 for 1.2 Litre
