I've heard you, as requested, it's Papeda Telur, some people said it's Cilung. Super easy yet addictive, why making your own? First, it's usually only available on street food vendors near school. Two, you know what's inside and you can add anything you want. Three, higiene, no I'm not a clean freak person also not judging, when it comes to street food, it depends on the vendors. Well anyway, it's fun to make. Ingredients : 2 eggs 100 ml water 2-3 tbsp tapioca salt to taste 1 tbsp cooking oil 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp chili powder 1/2 tsp fries seasoning powder, I prefer cheese powder & BBQ some bamboo skewers Watch the video for directions Find me on: Youtube  and  Instagram   @heytheresia  for daily food and travel updates

Resep: Deviled Eggs (Stuffed Eggs) Recipe

Image
This week is all about egg dish, if you're following me on Instagram you may notice that I've posted several egg dishes. What's your favorite egg dish? I love fried egg with sweet soy sauce, also rolled egg but not Tamagoyaki , I prefer the Korean version Gyeranmari , less sweet. And now it's Deviled Egg , to describe it's a higher level of hard boiled egg, creamy yolk, similar to egg salad. It is also known as stuffed egg, there many variations, you can add bacon bits (which is really nice), smoked salmon, any of your favorite herbs.  Ingredients : 5 eggs 2-3 tbsp mayonaise 1 tsp mustard 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional) 1/2 tsp vinegar salt and pepper to taste 1 tbsp chopped pickles chili powder as needed some water Directions : Pour water into a pan, add in eggs, then turn on the heat. Once boiling, cook for a minute, turn off the heat and cover with lid. After 15 minutes, remove eggs from excess water and transfer into cold water.  Peel off the egg shell, cut in

DIY HAIR COLORING AT HOME: PURPLE PASTEL - NO DAMAGE HAIR WITH OLAPLEX

It's not food related post, OK so I decided to add new page on my blog about style in general, things that pretty much related to me, things that I like other than food. As requested and because lots of people on my Instagram asked me about my hair. If you're into colorful unicorn hair, ombre, color blocks, but still want to have healthy hair, it's is not cheap. Here in Jakarta, the price starts from 2 million Rupiah depending on the beauty salon, your desired color, and also products. And what I want to share with you is also not cheap, I'd say it's FUN. Personally, I'm not really into hair coloring until I really did. Bright or pastel color such as purple, pink, blue, and green are faded easily, even if you do it in a hair salon because most of them use semi-permanent hair color. Retouch is needed most of the time. In my case, I like to play with the colors, mixing colors, experimenting, creating unique combination, because it will stay for only 1-2 weeks (DIY

AB Steak By Chef Akira Back Jakarta: A Modern Korean-American Steak House

Image
It's unlike any other steak house, not really a Korean BBQ, AB Steak By Chef Akira Back . A new place to enjoy American steak with a touch of Korean, so how does it work? There's a grill on every table, the choice from Japanese wagyu to house-aged meat, fancy seating, it's a very unique combination. It's not too early to tell, "book your seat" - OK now let's find out the menu. Appetizers - from Steamed Bun (IDR 150.000) to Scallop Crudo (IDR 135.000), very appetizing and flavorful, while Chicken Wings (IDR 95.000) was quite nice, a little spicy, tasted very Korean though, and Amberjack Carpaccio (IDR 195.000) too salty for my palate, probably as it's served on a salt block but the citrus sauce was really good, fresh, balance out the saltiness, I think it will be great if it's served on a regular plate. Steak Tartare Steak Tartare (IDR 185.000) - not a fan of steak tartare but yes to bone marrow, roasted bone marrow topped with wagyu tartare.

Sunday Brunch: ROSSO Shangri-la Jakarta

Image
Buongiorno! How to spend weekend? Sunday Brunch sounds great, a bowl of noodles is surely comforting (does it sound very Asian?) but I'm into Italian food and having a plate of pasta instead definitely a yes. Shangri-la Jakarta is famous for its SATOO, breakfast or dinner, they have anything you want from Chinese to Indian food. But personally I turned into ROSSO for Sunday Brunch , from 11 am to 2.30 pm here you can enjoy more than just pasta, from antipasto to selection of wines.  Formaggio - when it comes to Italian food, think about cheese.. cheese pizza, cheesy pasta, even salad with cheese, I found Pecorino (sooo good) and the love-hate Gorgonzola (I'm #teamGorgonzola anyway). To start - I had salad topped with parmesan, more cheese and tomatoes on side, few slices of beef bacon, and my most favorite sauteed mushroom with artichoke. As a big fan of artichoke, pairing it with almost everything, pizza, pasta, and surely goes well with salad. Continue with risotto, fresh
