Yakult Jelly Punch Recipe

Image
Well it's just something I make at home, many times... I love Yakult, a child hood drink that reminds me of the times when I was a little kid. It started from my habit drinking Yakult or any other yogurt drink with some ice, because I found it too sweet to my liking, plus, I love cold drinks. So, one day I made this, I prefer plain jelly as I don't want the flavor to ruin the Yakult flavor, and you sure can add some simple syrup for extra sweetness. Anyway, don't freak out if using colorful jelly... the color will fade, translucent just like plain jelly. I made this one and leave for a day in fridge, and end up with white jelly.  Ingredients: 5 bottles Yakult 2 tsp basil seeds, or chia seeds 1 cup longan or lychee, remove the syrup 1/2 cup plain jelly (unflavored), cut into cubes 3 tbsp simple syrup or to taste 1/2 cup crushed ice Watch the video for the directions

Homemade Poke Bowl: Salmon Poké Recipe

Image
I'm a big fan of sushi but personally not into sashimi but I love carpaccio and Poke of course, means I love raw salmon with a little or some seasoning. When it comes to poke, I usually go for salmon with plenty of sauce, and pineapple or mango.  So, if you have no idea what is actually Poke? It's Hawaiian by the way, not Japanese though yesss there are a lot of Japanese influences to Hawaiian cuisine.  Keep in mind to ONLY use sushi / sashimi grade fish, salmon and tuna are the most common, if you’re not into raw fish, vegan option, use tofu. Please use clean cutting board. I usually make fresh poke, means it’s served immediately or marinated in fridge for 30 minutes to an hour (don’t forget to wrap the bowl with plastic wrap). The Base : Cooked brown rice / red rice / sushi rice / mix greens  The Sauce : Spicy Mayo (kewpie mayo + sriracha), garlic sauce (garlic dressing) The Toppings : cucumber edamame cabbage pineapple mango lettuce seaweed green onions pickled carrot furi

Chocolate Marie Biscuits Pudding

Image
This chocolate pudding is just sooo good, silky smooth, just make sure to get a good quality chocolate powder. You can also use your favorite chocolate drink powder but you surely want to adjust the sugar measurement. Instead of adding Marie Biscuits on top, I tried to put the marie biscuits crumbs into the vla mixture. Well, of course I also added an extra biscuit on top. I keep this recipe eggless but if you're into rich sauce then add an egg yolk into the vla and add some vanilla or rhum, though it's optional. Ingredients : Chocolate Silky Pudding : 550 ml milk 50 gr sugar 40 gr chocolate powder (unsweetened) 1/2 tsp jelly powder 1/2 tsp agar powder Marie Biscuits Vla : 300 ml milk 1 tbsp corn starch 20 gr sugar 5 pieces Marie Biscuits 1 tsp vanilla extract or rhum for flavor a pinch of salt Follow the directions in video Find me on: Youtube  and  Instagram   @heytheresia  for daily food and travel updates

Chicken Taco with Mango Salsa Fresca Recipe

Image
I love Mexican food!! From taco to burrito, and of course Pico de Gallo! Once I tried making fresh salsa using Kiwi fruit, it was yum. Rather than the classic tomato salsa, I prefer fruit salsa. Mango and pineapple are just amazing for making fresh salsa. I like it as a condiment for taco, burrito, or as a dipping sauce for tortilla chips.  My version of taco, I used chicken as protein, add some cheese, veggies, and topped with fresh fruit salsa. It's just so good, the sweetness of the fruit, unique combination, fresh, and somehow addicting, well you should try and let me know if you like it too. Ingredients: tortilla red cabbage or lettuce cilantro, chopped sour cream melting cheese of your choice The chicken 300 gr chicken fillet 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp chili powder,  1/8 tsp cumin 2 tbsp cooking oil 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp salt or to taste Mango Salsa Fresca 250 gr sweet mango, diced 1/2 jalapeno, minced 2 tbsp tomato, diced small 2 tbsp onion, diced small 1 tbsp cilantro, cho

One Pot Chicken Rice Recipe

One of my favorite dish, One Pot Chicken Rice. It's super easy to make and most of the ingredients are already available in my pantry. I posted the video on my Instagram  few days ago, some asking me about mushroom bouillon, it's possible to replace it with chicken powder or any of umami seasoning of your choice.  I set the rice cooker on porridge / soup mode for the first 10 minutes to cook the marinated chicken, then add the rice, water, the rest of the seasoning, and later set standard cooking mode. Also, to complement this dish, I made a simple spicy sweet and sour sauce: 3 tsp sugar 1 tsp chili flakes 3/4 tsp salt 1 tsp rice vinegar 3 tsp water One Pot Chicken Rice Ingredients: 400 gr rice, I used short grain rice 5 chicken drums 3 cloves garlic, crushed 1 pieces (10 gr) ginger, peeled and crushed 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce (kecap inggris) 1 tsp oyster sauce 1 tsp mushroom bouillon 1 tsp salt or to taste 2 stalks green onion, sliced 350 ml water Directio

Resep: Oreo Milk Pudding Recipe

Image
It's good on its own, but there are many things you can make using Oreo. And this is one of them, Oreo Milk Pudding. This recipe calls for tiny amount of agar and jelly powder because I like soft pudding instead of firm, but feel free to add more to your preference. Chill in fridge before serving. I asked Kevin, he said it was a little too sweet for him but my sister said it’s just enough, so.. depending on your taste, you probably want to add less, and adjust later. And about the oreo, it will taste better if you blend it, because soggy cookies is just not my liking but again.. feel free. The most important things are the milk and whipped cream powder to enchance the rich flavor. Oreo Milk Pudding For 3 servings Ingredients: 600 ml milk 80 gr sugar or depending on your preference 2-3 tbsp whipped cream powder or powdered creamer 1/4 tsp jelly powder 1/4 tsp agar powder 5-7 oreo sandwich, blend or crushed more oreo for topping Cook while stirring on low heat. Resep: One Pot Creamy Pasta Recipe

Image
One Pot Pasta, just because it's easier and I don't need to clean up a lot. I like my pasta al dente but if you prefer tender pasta then add more water into the pot. It's good with mushroom, sausage, bacon, or even corn. Add the cream and cheese on last minute, and fresh herbs, but if using dried herbs then you want to put it along with the milk so it will release more flavor. Ingredients: 150 ml water, or more if you prefer tender pasta 200 ml milk 100 gr pasta, I used spaghetti -11 1-2 cloves garlic, minced 70 gr sweet corn 2 strips bacon, you can use sausage, smoked beef or beef bacon 2 tbsp fresh herbs, chopped, I used basil and parsley (or 1 tsp dried herbs) 80 ml cooking cream 40 gr cheese (sharp cheddar or parmesan or any of your favorite) salt and pepper to taste 1/4 tsp mushroom bouillon or chicken powder 2 tbsp cooking oil Directions : watch the video Find me on: Youtube  and  Instagram   @heytheresia  for daily food and travel updates
